Meet the founders—and their beloved Grammy Rita!
Grammy Rita spent most of her life in Berwick, ME, working hard at the local shoe factory, raising her family, and living life with grit and grace. Her strong work ethic, sharp sense of humor, and zest for life inspired all four founders of Aroma Joe’s.
Brian, one of the founders, recalls:
""I used to love working as a barista early on, and she’d swing by and order her signature drink—‘a small decaf coffee, drop in some ice cubes, with 1.5 Sweet’N Lows, please.'

Rita was a true go-getter, always cheering her grandsons on—and pushing them when they needed it. Legend has it she even threatened to march into Dover Town Hall herself to get location #5 approved!
